Audible can be a little overwhelming, so we've created this step-by-step tutorial to make it easier to review Bobby's audio books.
Step 1: Log into Audible.com
Go to http://www.audible.com, and either sign in with your Amazon account, or create a new Amazon account. It is not necessary to sign up for an Audible.com subscription to redeem your promo code.
Step 2: Search for Bobby's Books
In the search box, in the upper right-hand portion of the page, you'll see a search box. Type Bobby Adair in the blank.
Step 3: Add to Cart
Look for the Slow Burn: Box Set 1-3 item in the list (or other audio book). Click the Add to Cart button on the right.
Step 4: View the Cart
Once the item is in the cart, the box changes, and you can choose View Cart from the bottom of the box. Or simply click the shopping cart icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Step 5: Verify Your Purchase
Verify the contents of your cart. The item will show at full price in the cart. You'll need to apply the promotional code.
Step 6: Apply the Promo Code
Click on the Do you have a promotional code? link below the book, on the left. The link will change to a field where you can apply the promo code we provided you. Click the Apply Code button. If you need that code again, please contact us.
Step 7: Apply the Credit
Now you need to apply the credit to the book. Under the Apply Credits column, check the box next to 1 Credit, then click the Next Step button.
NOTE: If you don't check the box and apply the credit, the next page will ask for your credit card information.
Step 8: Provide Account Info
Now Audible will ask for some basic account info, and you'll see that the contents of your cart is now $0.00. Fill in the info, and click Continue.
Step 9: Complete the Purchase
Review the Checkout information, and click Complete Purchase to finish.
Step 10: Select an App for Listening
In the final step, you can choose your preferred listening application. Links are provided. You can skip this if you'd like to go directly to the Reviews area.
Create a Review
Reviews are an incredibly important part of what any indie author does...without reviews, new readers may pass up a great book! We encourage you to give an honest review. You'll have an opportunity to rate the overall book, the performance of the narrator, and the story. It can be as easy as just clicking the stars, or if you're someone who likes to write, you can certainly give a written review as well.
Step 1: Find Your Purchased Books
Look at the top of the page for the Library menu item. Choose My Books from the list.
Step 2: Locate the Rate and Review Section
Look at the list of books, and toward the right, you'll see a column for Rate and Review. Not only does your review help the author, but Audible.com uses this information to tailor your recommendations.
Step 3: Click on the Stars
Click on the stars that correspond to how much you enjoyed the book. If you really like the book, a five-star rating is the best choice. If you thought it was pretty good, a four-star rating is suggested...and so on. If you're a little shy about reviewing, you could stop here.
If you'd like to actually write a review, click on the Write a review link.
Step 4: Write a Review, Answer the Questions (Optional, but Helpful!)
Fill out the star ratings, give your review a headline, and then answer the questions. Click Submit when you're done, and that's it!
